On Friday 18th of August 2023, The PAMS Jigalong Staff Housing was opened by Minister for Health Hon. A-J Sanderson with PAMS CEO Robby Chibawe and PAMS Chairperson Bill Landy, and was attended by PAMS staff and members of community.

COVID-19 vaccine advertising resources has been developed by Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) in the local Martu community language to support the vaccination roll out and counter misinformation that’s causing vaccine hesitancy.

Due to the COVID-19 border closures and the inability to source doctors, PAMS Newman GP Clinic will only have one doctor for four days a week from Wednesday the 27th of October.

Please be advised that from Monday 11th of October, PAMS Newman Clinic will be closed from 1pm - 2pm.

Earlier this month, PAMS received a $133,000 Lotterywest grant to purchase a 4WD van which will accommodate up to 8 passengers and allow for wheelchair transportation.

This week we participated in Rowan’s Walk to help raise awareness for mental health and remember those who have lost their lives to suicide.

PAMS and WA Police are working collaboratively with other organisations in Newman including the Shire of East Pilbara, Newman Futures and WA Country Health Service to support Rowan’s Walk.
