Registered Nurse Kate Wall

Kate recently joined the PAMS nursing team and will be administering vaccinations at the PAMS Newman clinic for anyone in the community for the next two weeks.

Everyone of all ages are welcome to walk in and visit Nurse Kate to receive vaccinations including the seasonal flu vaccine and relevant COVID-19 boosters.

The fourth coronavirus vaccine dose is now available for those aged 30 and over.

Kate is originally from Melbourne and has been working as a nurse since 1991. She also completed an immunisation training course for nurses in 1998 where she developed a passion for improving health outcomes through vaccinations.

Kate has worked all over Australia to provide immunisation services to communities, including Cape York. Kate said she is excited to be in Newman and looks forward to providing vaccinations to the local community and protecting them from harmful diseases.

“I know vaccines and needles are not what many people get excited about but vaccines saves lives and I find that amazing,” said Kate.

“I enjoy working with families and children, and providing immunisation to keep them healthy and strong,” she added. “I hope to meet as many people as I can during my time here in Newman.”

It is recommended for anyone 50 years and over to get their fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine. If you’re due for your vaccinations, please feel free to walk into PAMS Newman clinic or book an appointment.
